Unusal find for me, 1919 canadian large cent

I found this in southwestern PA. It has some crust and blue greenish tarnish on the edges, but has great detail. I think was uncirculated when lost
and was in the ground fora long time.

Great find!

I haven't found one yet, but I expect that I will someday, living this close to Detroit (the largest northern boarder crossing). When I do, I hope it looks half as good as that one.

My oldest Canadian so far is a 1900 5 cent.

Nice find there.. those things can sure end up in some unusual places.
I found one last year while detecting an old city park in Virginia.. same date as yours.
Mine was about 8 inches down and was in very good condition with a nice green patina which I left on it while cleaning.
Perhaps that year the material was more "weather proof .
