Unusual find

Coinseeker 78

New member
Got a chance for a couple hours detecting in a local park. I managed to find some clad but got a little surprise. I was using my F70 with the 11 inch coil and was getting a lot of trash signals. I was sweeping an area that was fairly clean and got a good signal at 6 inches. I dug a plug and out popped a dropped Musket ball. I had a nice white patina. This park is not known for old bullets or musket balls.. I have found some modern bullets until now so this ball was a complete surprise. This is another example of why I love to metal detect. You never know what you will find.

Some fresh air, going through the motions and a nice surprise.
Who could ask for more.
