Yesterday ( Tues) I loaded the GTI into the trk and off to the beach
i went. the county courthouse is on the way & i stoped there first
I got a note from a commisioner saying i ( and Others) could hunt
the beach.since it is public.
Got to the beach and started at the point we left off Sunday.
Got a current dime and a penny.
Then i went to another area and found ZILCH NADA NUTIN
Same all over I did a criss cross pattern and got a few nails(?)
A guy walking his dog came along and asked how i was doing.
We talked and he said he was gonna get a detector for
Christmas since he had just retired. THEN he asked if I
knew that the county had dumped 2 feet of sand on the beach this summer.
That seems odd since they didnt use the beach at all. My taxes at work.......
But at least I knew why i wasnt getting any signals on the main beach ..
Well thats my excuse and Im sticking to it!!
So i learned sumthin and got permission to hunt the beach.
Maybe the spring rains next yr will wash some sand away
Anyway just an update for those who were interested
