I will continue to pray, Ma. I know how tragic it is. Last count I heard for us is that we have 238 dead. 14 of those deaths are about 15 miles from my house. 3 others are about 23 miles from my house. I assure you, the lives of those close to Joplin, whether they were directly hit or not, will never be the same. I, will never be the same. We are so used to tornadoes here and had become complacent, even though we have devastating tornadoes at times, but April 27th has forever changed our lives. We had some severe thunderstorms a couple of days ago and people were panicking all over the place. I dread the sound of those sirens that I know will come again... the ones I used to pay only little attention to unless I knew it was headed directly for us. It's still all we see on our local news channels and I'm sure it will be this way for a long time to come. We are surrounded by nothing but recovery efforts, FEMA, pleas for assistance and the sight of debris, downed trees, destroyed lives. Believe me, I will be praying for Joplin.
