Update on my Mother.

My sister called around 3 PM to say that the surgeon cannot operate. The cancer has spread to both of mom's lungs and her liver. He's giving her a couple of months to live and told her to cancel a cruise she had planned for July. She has 2 options: Chemo, which he said may not even do any good or extend her life and she'll be ill or Quality of Life where he'll make sure she doesn't have any pain and can stay at home. He wants to do surgery to place tubes in her kidneys to allow them to drain but her left kidney is going to fail regardless. He wants her to decide by tomorrow so he can move ahead with the plan.
I asked my sister to find out if mom wants me to come up to the hospital this weekend or wait until she comes home.

Thank you for your prayers. I believe that God is able to do anything at anytime.

Hey Duke, I'm VERY SORRY to hear about your MOTHER!! I lost my 93yr. old FATHER last yr. on 01/20/07, due to ALOT of INCOMPETENT MEDICAL CARE, so I have VERY LITTLE F-A-I-T-H in Doctors/Hospitals!! I lost my father to PNEUMONIA that one hospital refused to listen to me, and confirm by previous medical records, so the PNEUMONIA was ALLOWED TO WORSEN, and develop into a COLLAPSED LUNG. Then after it was properly diagnosed, HE DID NOT RECEIVE QUALITY HOSPITAL CARE, and he went into RESPIRATORY ARREST, which eventually KILLED HIM!!!
But, in regards to your MOTHER, IT MAY or MAY NOT BE WORTH YOUR WHILE to check into CANCER TREATMENT CENTERS OF AMERICA. According
to their T.V. Advertisements, THEY HAVE AN EXCELLENT RECOVERY RATE, and they are located in a couple of cities/states throughout the country!! Whatever
you & your family decide, BEST OF LUCK, and MAY G-O-D SHEAD HIS GRACE UPON YOUR MOTHER!!! I'll say a PRAYER for HER/YOUR FAMILY!!

Duke, I think a second opinion is always in order in this type of situation.

My neighbor got a second opinion on his cancer and now in total remission.

Might I suggest MD Anderson Hospital in Houston Tx?

Saved a dear friends daughter from age 15 and she was pronounced incurable. She is now in her mid 40s.

Another place....................Radiological Center in Atlanta Georgia. Google would be your friend here.
