my knee was swollen but more important was the pain I had in my calf...kinda felt like someone put a big old steel ball bearing in my calf deep where no one could touch it. It was more painful than the knee.
After running some tests they determined I didn't have a blood clot (DVT) in my leg as the clinic and Sherry and I had thought might be the case. The ER did find a slight case of Pnuemonia in my lower left lung and was going to give me a perscription for that and they were going to immobilize my left knee.
One of the staff came in after the doc had left, had me sign some papers, then asked if I wanted to walk out or use a wheel chair so I said walk...well me on 2 legs and a cane. I got dressed in my clothes and we left. It wasn't til we were almost home that we realized we didn't have the prescription and my knee was not immobilized in any way as the doctor was talking about doing.
Guess we left before all the work was done??? Well will have to make an appointment with the doctor I had been seeing here at Houghton Lake and get back on track. Seems since I haven't had my blood checked (INR) to see if the blood thinners were doing their job I was told they were not high enough to do much good. So definitely have to get with the local doctor. Got some swelling in the knee so have to stay off it.
Sherry's job is coming to an end soon (within a week). Out income will drop unless her business starts picking up....and it would help if a couple people paid for the product we already sent. One was a big but fast needed order and we filled it (to our exhaustion) and got the order out...and no replies to emails or anything. We do need the money to pay pesky bills with so hoping they do what is right and pay us for the items they wanted.
Anyway, I am doing OK ..... thanks Doug for asking about the knee. How's the family doing, Doug?
