Hello all! It's been so long since I've been on and I'm sure I've missed a great deal. Life, as always, has been busy. Thought I would post an update ;) I am still working at the library as Youth Services Librarian for our county and I love my job. I feel challenged and needed every day. Recently I have become involved in a program called "Larue Read"; this program targets elementary school children that are experiencing a delay in reading. Some of these children have cognitive issues and a great many of them come from troubled homes. We get to buddy up with a child and work one-on-one with them once per week on fluency and readiness. Today, I was offered a position at Loren's elementary school and I am praying on that one.

I had ask for prayers for my sister some time back and she has delivered a basically healthy, somewhat premature baby girl. She ended up on complete bedrest and lost her job because of it, but the end result is wonderful....I love being an Auntie again.

My granny (94) has been fighting double pneumonia and heart failure. We thought we were going to lose her, but she is slowly bouncing back. She was the only true spiritual leader I had growing up and she is very special to me!

School has been going well. Next semester will finish up my associates degree and I am slated to graduate with very high distinction (if I can continue to hold it all together)! I will then transfer to a local university to finish up my bachelors and obtain my teaching certificate.

GOD is GOOD!! How about everyone post an update of what's been going on in their lives? Would love to catch up with everyone.

Congrats on the high distinction! :clapping:
I will pray about the job offer and your granny.
No updates for me as you probably know through fb.

You're on the right track - took me a lot of hard work & 5 years but I got a teaching degree. Sure was rewarding . Keep up the effort - you will see results.

As to my life - Nancy & I are getting ready to sell the house & move to Louisiana . Steve in so az

Liz, You & your family, as well as all those on this forum are in my prayers daily. I truly hope all goes well with your plans and may all your hopes and dreams come true.
