Update:

Well Im not disapointed I brought my find to the local museam and I was told Its a colonial coin. Possibly Mass. Hard to tell still needs a little cleaning.
But I found that My previous thoughts of there being 3 trees is not correct. Its a figure holding a spear in one hand holding something in the other. Its dated 17XX Hard to tell the next 2 numbers. I will try to have someone else look at it. It could also be a CT. coin from that era as well. Man Its my best find ever.
I want to say as well I got more ideas on where to hunt from a gentleman there who is a part time treasure hunter. He has been finding some amazing finds. Lots of colonial coins from mass and ct. He gave me some of his locations. He and his buddies are "W" Guys. I also showed him some of my other finds and he told me all about them. Musket ball from revolutionary times. Buttons from civil war times. He is a smart guy. Well I am happy ...My first COLONIAL coin:wiggle: I am so freakin' HAPPY!!! HOLDING HISTORY!! Happy Hunting!!!

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....sorry.

Good job, that's a great find.

Be careful cleaning it. I never saw words or a design and I hope when you get your camera back and if you ever get a decent shot of it that you'll post a photo.

That is a supremely nice find. Hope there is something even better in your future.

I see a little of it. A lot of post colonial coins and British coins of that period share the woman in recline atop a globe (I think it's Britannia) on their reverse. The obverse should be George II or George III. There were a lot of different patterns and many dies so it is difficult to find two coins that look alike. The first piece you zoned into, the Mass. Penny, is a unique coin. There were copies made but only the one exists. Keep searching and you may identify it someday. It would occupy a place of prominence in my book.

That's one neat find. It is great to be able to research something like this.
Being able to gather solid info. on something makes it all the more special.
This clearly belongs on anyone's "Try to top this" list. Way to go!
