Upgrade bug -- Tejon as only detector?

I've only been at this for 6 weeks or so with my Compadre 8", but I'm already getting the itch to upgrade. I'd love to get a little deeper to find those really old coins/relics. My budget is keeping me in the used market for this upgrade. I also don't want to (nor would my wife!) end up with an arsenal of various detectors. I'll definitely keep the Compadre around for certain hunts, loaner machine, the kids to use, etc. But would the Tejon be a good all-around machine for a one-detector man? I'm into a combination of coins, jewelry, relics. Would the Tejon work as a kind of "jack of all trades"?

The Outlaw also popped up on my radar, but the Tejon shows up in the classifieds more frequently, so that's why I'm looking into it.

The Tejon is an awesome deeeeep machine. So is the Vaquero. Either machine will do all you want it to do and do it well.
There is more of a learning curve with the Tejon, but it isn't anything you can't master with some practice.

I have no experience with the Outlaw, but i'm sure it is a good detector. For the best depth either the V or Tejon is what you want.....HH

With a few coil different coils I think the Tejon would be a good all round machine. For trashy spots the 5.75 concentric or 5x10 dd widescan for wide open areas the 8x9 or 12x10 widescan would be great.

I prefer water hunting but If I could choose 1 unit for all terain Would probably be the vaquero stuffed in a water proof case.
