Well the big brown truck dropped off my new Deus today. I have it charging and am going to spend the night reading the manual. Does everyone take off that protective plastic that the control unit is shipped with. Also it appears that they gave me some kind of screen protector, does everyone put that on. I have also received the silicone control unit protective cover, so I am wondering if the screen protector should be on in addition to the cover.

I use the protective sheet, not the cover...Buttons are normally "hard" to press, so ya know, and as stated the protective sheet does not make them harder.....

Congrats on the unit!

I bought an iPhone armband and screen protector at 5 and Below. I cut the screen saver to cover the clear window and over lap onto some out the controller body around the window. I cut the arm band off the armband case and cut a notch on the backside to enable it to be attached to the stem of the machine. I then cut another piece of the screen protector to go over the window on my headphone controller. All are still working great.

Man, I'll bet you were doing the Happy Dance when you saw that package.
In my opinion I would use the screen protector as it's just added insurance to not
scratching the screen because once it's there, it ain't coming out. Plus it keeps the
dirt and dust particles from wearing on the screen. I'd use it.
Good Luck and Wish you the Best with the new DEUS!!! You won't regret it.

Yes I am excited, so far the only thing I am not really impressed with are the back phones , maybe they will grow on me, but not that comfortable and not a tight fit against my ears.

Just order the adapter that allows you to use headphones of your choice I believe.
The ws 4 will connect to adapter which you then plug your headphones into them.
You will need another adapter for headphones that go from 1/4" to 1/8" to
complete headphone connections. I think I have it right. If not, someone here
will set you straight as these Deus guys are a GOOD BUNCH!!! Hope this helps...

I didn't like how the ws-5 phones felt at first...it was cold when I started using the Deus, so I put on a sockcap and this helped a lot with them not sliding off my watermelon head lol! But in the warmer months I'm constantly fidgeting with them to stay put...a minor gripe but still an annoyance!

So with this adapter are you able to use your own headphones and still stay wireless ?

Wireless to the coil and remote, but not to the WS-4 headphone controller.
You connect to the Headphone controller with the adapter and drop it into your shirt pocket and you good to go...
