Upstate NY finger lakes/ Rochester area?

Scenario84

New member
Hey everyone. Looking for anyone in the upstate NY finger lakes region to hunt with. Been going it alone for years and have only ran into one other detectorist, and he was a condescending flake who just talked about how my minelab detector was no better than his $50 dollar machine then grew angry as I went over where he already went and pulled two silvers out. Never saw him again. I have a ton of cellar holes and 1700-1800s homesites I visit and am no where near hunting them out. Just feel it would be nice to meet some cool people who share the same interests and could have some good times detecting.

I and my hunting partner live in the Syracuse NY. A day trip is not out of the question. We have a few old cellar holes around here. But have not been able to find anything on them. Have you made any good finds on your cellar holes? We have a few old amusement parks on Onondaga lake. That my Partner has found 30 silners including a trimer. And 2 Gold rings.

Thanks Joe

Looking forward to hearing from you.

I am in the Norwich/Utica/Oneonta area in a town called South New Berlin. I'm very new to detecting but I love going to the FInger Lakes area (wineries). Might be able to swing a day trip this Summer!.

Hey there, I'm just getting into detecting seriously this year. Bought a new detector for Christmas and pretty much everything I think I need. Definitely looking for a partner and maybe a little advice from your detecting adventures. Let me know if you want to meet up sometime. My name is Greg and I'm 46yrs old and live in Webster. You can also text me at 585-576-3191 sometime too if you would like,
