:usaa: Bears & planes don't mix....

[size=large]Shared by a former VQ squadron mate, Hank Grant from Fairbanks, AK. As we learned while in AK, the pilots up in AK have a different attitude when it comes to dealing with the FAA.... Bug off! (edited for forum)

A bear ripped his plane apart while parked in a remote field up here in AK. He had not cleaned out the inside after a long fishing trip and the bear smelled it. He had 2 new tires (check out the ripped tires), 3 cases of Duct Tape and several rolls of cellophane delivered. Then went about repairing the plane so he could fly it home. Model building 101

Gutsy to say the least. Click on photo's to enlarge

I have seen 100 mile tape for sale---It talked like it was a Special tape, Not Regular Duct Tape---I know it was higher priced tape, Not the price of regular Tape
