NOTE: I have seen this posted on several websites with people speculating on its authenticity. Most correctly surmised it to be true. However, guessing is not good enough, especially with important material as below. On Friday, I contacted, Commander Wagner at Columbus State Community College 's 727 Counter Terror Training Unit <http://www.cscc.edu/cttu/train.htm> and he verified he is the author.

The fear on the street is palpable. Ever since the election of Barack Obama as President of these United States in November 2008, coupled with the election of a democrat party majority in both the U.S. House and Senate, concern for the United States and personal safety has ignited like a fire in dry grass.

I have that shotgun. What I would like to know is, what will 00 buckshot do for me if attached?
Would 00 stop them? Would it be better to have deer slugs.?

Vern is correct---I would want Double 0 in my shotgun also---Slugs would be OK but if I had a choice of stopping some one I would want 00---I have seen what they do to a Deer

Below is a load of 00 buck through a wall. Which one did the most damage? Buckshot is best at close range (out to about 50 feet~ home defence). Slugs do better past that range out to about 125 yards ~perimeter defence.

You can feel it in the air , more and more restrictive laws, and the attempts to restrict or take our guns and ammo never stop. Wounder why they want to disarm us? We all know the answer to that. The same thing in regards to ammo is going on here in eastern KY also. Everything, even 22s are in very short supply. I had bought up a supply of 357magnum rounds a couple of years ago for about $15.00 a box and the other day I was offered $40.00 a box for them. NO WAY! Hardly no handgun ammo of any kind to be found and when our local gun store gets any in, it's gone in minutes. I saw this coming years ago when they started eating away at our metal detecting rights. Don't step on the grass, it has rights, and throw away that gun, you don't need that cause big brother will take care of you. OVER MY DEAD BODY!:csflag::beers:

For close range work a shotgun and about any kind of shot bigger than #5 is better than slugs, less chance of missing

As the father of a SWAT cop, I can tell you that much of the information in the above writing is true.

I have seen a change in my son and his SWAT buddies attitudes over the past few months. Like the author said, a lot of these guys never paid much attention to politics in the past, ........ now they are, and are talking about it amongst themselves. Suddenly, they seem concerned about the stability of our government, the country, and the safety of their families. Many are in fact purchasing weapons for personal use and storing up on ammo if they can find it.

There seems to be something in the wind, and these guys can sense it.

Best price on ammo at Wal-mart, 100 rnds of 38 special (winchester value pac)$ 29.00, same on 100 rnds 45 auto, 32 auto 50 rnds $18.00, 12 ga. rifled dear slugs box of 5 for $3.17, not hard to find but it doesn't stay on the shelf long, other stores, steel case ak (7.62X39) is fairly cheap at 6.50 for box of 20, but for long term storage I've bought 200 rnds of brass case remington at $16.00 box of 20, not so cheap, but not for target practice, that is what is available in the southern part of the hoosier state..................
