:usaflag: 10K, but it looks like it's from the 50's or 60's :detecting:

The water was a little rough, but I decided to take my Dual Field for a quick spin this PM and in about two hours of hunting found over a dozen coins (all recent I think) most of them showing the effects of salt water exposure.

One lead weight, a few pieces of junk metal and this gold ring.

The "stone" is badly abraded and it's impossible to tell what it is, but in a 10K setting it likely isn't valuable.

Hey ---gold is gold, right?

CJ

CJ,
That DF is treating you right! How deep?

Best Regards,
Steve

Another nice ring there.

Looks like it was re-sized. Maybe it should have been re-sized again before it fell off and was lost for you to find. ;-)

G'day CJ,
Good to see you getting onto the gold.
I'm chaffin' at the bit just looking at what you guys are hauling out of DJ's locker.
Keep up the good work CJ and we'll here from you real soon for sure.
Cheers and HH

Hi Steve,

Where I hunt the sand has moved so that I am walking around on cobble-stones (what might be called "Rock Bottom").

Depth doesn't seem to matter as much as sensitivity to gold and the DF has that!

Finding nickles is a good sign of a machines ability to find gold.

I had just dug a nickle and less than a foot away I got a similar signal, I scooped it up expecting another nickle and the ring was the result!

I would guess that most of the finds were at 6"" to maybe 8" with an occasional 10"!

Thanks for your reply,

CJ

Hello CJ,
Sounds like a winner, gold on the rocks. Are you getting used to the Stohlquist? Thanks!

Best Regards,
Steve
