Two of my girls, Hannah and Leanna, entered a couple pieces of their artwork in a local juried art show. They would be competing against adults. Leanna entered her collie that she sculpted last year, and Hannah entered a couple of her pencil and chalk drawings. First place (blue ribbon) is a $50. prize.

The artwork has been over there a couple of days, and we had not seen the judging as its official opening was 2:00 this afternoon. When we got there, we found that Leanna had won first prize in the sculpting category.

Then her sculpture was awarded the "Best of Show" ribbon, that's an additional $100 prize... yay Lee!

A picture of a happy Lee, and it gets even better in just a minute...

Hannah won first place, $50, with a pencil drawing of a horse, and second place, chalk drawing of the cougar head pictured below.

PLUS... Lee sold this sculptured horse head she did a couple years ago for $300 at the art show.... Lee, can I borrow some money? Plus, my wife entered a stained glass piece, which won first prize blue ribbon in that category- $50, PLUS she sold it for $40... $90. Ka-ching!
Thanks for looking y'all!
