The tide was right at 7:30AM when an old Friend Rich and I waded out into Sound View Beach waters today.
This beach is heavily used every warm day during "the season", but those that venture out into the water are few compared to the number enjoying the sandy beach.
The water is cold most of the year and requires a hardy constitution to endure it.
4 hours later the beach day was in full swing with mostly children and teens in the water and boat, plane and train traffic causing lots of interference with my Dual Field signals.
We headed for home with vertually no fresh drops and only a few targets recovered.
My days catch totaled 19 targets recovered with one very nice 3 Gram, 14K religious medal, one clad dime, one half of a nickle that had been sheared in two, a size 201/2 316SS ring and a junk ear-ring and I musn't forget the silver toe ring and KastMaster lure!!!!

I covered a large area very slowly and carefully and the gold was a faint signal in the early part of the hunt, before the IMF caused me to be unable to hear those tiny signals.
The gold was deep and I suspect it was hidden for years.
It certainly has been passed over by several competent hunters including myself for a long time and I am proud of this nice find.
Dual Field, Diablo and this Old Hunter (71 tomorrow!!) did it again!!
GL&HH Friends,
