68 targets recovered in a 5 hour hunt gave Mr. Dual Field, Diablo and this Old Hunter a real workout on the first hunt since Sandy roared through.

Couple of sweet rings there CJ! There is a nor'easter on the radars and it may uncover more for you. I pray it doesn't hurt the NJ / NY folks who are still without power and supplies too bad.

As always, your still finding gold out there CJ ! That is a nice gold ring!:clapping: Now that summer is over and most people are back to work, the gold finds are hard to come by but we still have to keep swinging!
Here on the West coast (SoCal) we don't get the storms like the East coast and the Gulf to stir the sand and beaches up and for the most part they remain the same terrain, so unless you get in the water like you do and detect, the gold finds are few and far between on the beaches. I have arthritis in my shoulder unforetunately which limits me on what I can do.....BUT...we keep trying!! GL&HH.

That is a beauty heavy looking ring there CJ! We were all wondering how long it would take after that big blow for you to be in the gold! 'bout a week!

Thanks for your replies Mud and SD!!

"Sandy" really lived up to her name and dumped heavy loads of sand on every beach in the North East!!

My hunting Pals and I are scouting the New England coast for accessible hunting ground and the best we have come up with is the spot where I found these rings.

Maybe the fore-casted Nor Easter will clear away some of Sandy's handy-work for us.

GL&HH Friends,

CJ
