Well that's how my hunt started anyway!
A half hour into the hunt the west, south west wind started the water jumping and the sun hid its face, but the low tide allowed me to scout several areas from the water's edge to waist deep. 21/2 hurs in a wave slapped me in the face as I waded along just under chest deep.
(The water temp is right at 40 degrees and the wind chill didn't help although two layers of thermals and 7Mil waders and my Polar Paws with military wool glove liners kept me pretty comfy.)
I can take a hint and Mr. Dual Field, Diablo and I edged toward dry land picking up a bit more junk on my way out.
The only hunting I managed was on the deep side of the offshore sand bar that runs the length of the local beaches.
Some of the time I waded on stones out there and the rest of the time on sand, but it was thin enough I picked up a few heavy targets such as the sinkers.
30 targets recovered in 3 hours and most of them were recovered in the last 11/2 hours.
