The Parade
By John L. (Rusty ) Smith

It was yesterday that I saw the parade,
High School Bands by the score marched as they played.
Majorettes with batons that they twirled round
While the brass bands made a deafening sound.
All sorts of notable people came by
On shiny new cars waving arms in the sky.

Moving and memorable.

I still have 2 serving and they attend a lot of parades. Much the same effect as the military troops come thru.
