:usaflag: Spent 31/2 Hours Searching Salt Water At A Local Beach For A Diamond Ring!!:detecting:

I heard through "the grape vine" that a woman had lost a diamond ring at at a local beach and decided to hunt for it when the tide got low enough at just after noon today.

The brisk SW wind had a nasty little chop coming in and made using my sifter a royal pain, but somehow I managed to stick it out for 31/2 hours.

Mr. Dual Field, Diablo and I recovered 46 targets, mostly junk, except for the man's wedding band of the beautiful "reddish" gold I like so well. (I thought the other smaller ring was silver, but have decided it is a "junker"!!)

The diamonds, if still there, will have to wait for another day!!

GL&HH friends,

Nice job CJ....something else always is there besides what your looking for, nice ring....you'll find that diamond ring in time...HH Good Luck

A year or so ago an acquaintance told me his brother had lost his wedding band where i was hunting and gave me directions to the spot where the ring was supposed to have been lost.

I searched there and decided the sand had covered the ring and had been watching for a change that would let me find the ring.

I'm certain this is the ring and I found it a long way from where my friend said his brother had lost it.

I haven't had a chance to talk to the brother as yet, but I do have a call in to him asking for details about his lost ring.

I'm pretty sure this is it and if so it will be my 44th ring returned!!!

I know most of the family and have done plumbing work for them for years.

The father lost a university ring swimming in the same area during WW-2.

If it is congrats on another find to be returned. I am sure that diamond ring is waiting for you to get your coil over it. Good luck in the future.

The owner called me and we are gonna meet Saturday at the beach where I found the ring, weather permitting, with pictures to follow.

He has to travel down from Mass and won't arrive until late in the day, giving me a chance to search for the lost diamond ring while I wait.:detecting:
