Using two coils at almost the same time

Ok guys this is what I'm thinking.....If you leave the larger coil on the md with the velcro etc. Then all you got to do is unscrew it ,then screw in the smaller coil thats going in the hole don't have to worry about wraping it use it lose...when you wanna switch back just rescrew the larger coil...you can move it around like a pin pointer...what do you think......we had a conversation some what like this months back but not really....we need to discuss this I think hh......Dan

You're the one that gave me the idea........I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work just fine. It wouldn't be any different than using the Sun Ray pinpointer, except that it has an A/B switch to change from coil to pinpointer and back again. An enterprising individual could probably divise and A/B switch between two 5 prong female plugs and do the same thing using the small coil. Of course, it would probably be substantially heavier.

Roland let us know about the revisit to the hole maybe you can recover the target........hh......Dan

Roland,
try a Garrets pro pointer, they're worth the money and detect deep in the hole. I have a vibra probe and it works well but it talks to the detector when you turn it on. I'm getting a Pro pointer soon ...... everyone says they don't interfere with the detector when it's on.

Jay,
That was already the plan, just have to convince SWMBO that it is a 'necessity.'

When you have one coil plugged in it going to pickup the windings of the coil not plugged in an visa versa.

6 detectors Roland and the Garrett PRO Pointer doesn't bother any of then even the new F75LTD. I use the AUTOMAX I got with my 1270 from kellyco as a stud finder now, just to long to carry and you have to play with the SEN switch all the time the Garrett turn on and go, has a light and a side scan to scan sides of the hole. The best.

Shooter I'm not sure,I have the pro pointer....I was saying this because of the lost signals folks were talking about......just insert the smaller coil in the hole however you got to and what works.....thanks....hh....Dan
