V3.1 - Final

Apparently version 3.1 - final (not beta) is out. Anybody have a chance to try it out with the standard coils? I primarily use the 11 x 13 and do not have the HF2.
I updated this morning and used it in a tot lot. It felt very stable. I mainly got it so I wouldn't have to keep changing the volume of my headphones LOL. So far, so good.

I haven't downloaded it yet. Still using public Beta 3.08. I will load it this weekend after others try it out incase there a bugs.

Terry, I used the HF2 coil at a tot lot in Denver today before I got rained out. I was using the HF2 coil, Sensitive program running mostly default settings. I did change to High Square audio with the new Pitch 2 two tone audio feature. Ran at 53 kHz max frequency. I remembered to turn off the default coke notch 23-25 and put silencer on 0 for the mineralization out here. This I what I found:

The open hoop earring in the middle of the photo is 0.58 grams of 14K gold so about $40 melt value towards the price of the HF2 coil on the first tot lot hunt using Pitch 2.

All of the coins were either on edge or were right up next to the steel play structure posts. I could just barely hear a double hit near the play structure post.

Pitch 2 is so powerful that I think it will work just fine with the existing 9" FMF coil running at 40 kHz max frequency. I already sold my 9" coil but I was able to hit most of those targets on the plate with my 11" coil running the same settings in the Sensitive program. The hoop earring, earring back, portion of chain and some of the smaller pieces of foil were hard for the 11" to hit unless they were almost touching the coil right under the FMF label. Pitch 2 gave me plenty of audio information and with sensitivity on 90, the HF2 was detecting the staples in the weed barrier a foot below the tot lot bark. It was easy to size targets with Pitch 2 also. I hope you get to give Pitch 2 a try soon.

Is there a key to getting the D2 v3.10 to keep the volume settings on the WSAII XLs? Mine still seem to default back to the lowest volume?
Found the Pitch 2. I'll give it a try tomorrow.

And how do you set the new Pitch 2 Tone audio? I looked, and it all looks the same.
did you do the software update for the WSA ll XLs?

My WSA ll backphones stay on whatever setting I put them on.

Pitch 2 is right after Pitch in the Tones sub menu within Discrimination.

It said the WSAII XLs were successful with the update.

I got everything ready now. Tested it on my test 14k lobster clasp, and it hit hard. Can't wait to try a few on my tot lots.

I didn't know I set the volume of my headphones from the remote. I've used the Deus one a long time, but I'm still fairly new to the D2.

Thanks
