OR:a C.F.Martin HD-35 acoustic for just under $2,700.00---YES-I KNOW I HAVE VERY EXPENSIVE TASTES...but-in musical instruments;ya get what ya pay for-RIGHT,JOE G????On another note;I am headed for vacation next Saturday-headed to Mackinaw -Im staying at that motel I stayed last year;the one where I looked for the cleaning ladies' husbands wedding band(Neighborhood of 1 grand value)-I told her I will be looking for it again this year- she said her husband wants to go with me;and if I find it;they will pay me a finders fee...I said "no,thats not needed"...what I will tell her ,I think;is this:"if you want to do something for me doing this,you can -if,and when the need arises-perform a random act of kindness for someone-known to you or not-for this is the work of the LORD;and THAT is a Good Thing"...

That is the benchmark I base all other guitars on...Problem is;that axe is up around$8,000.00 now...I know,there are guitars out there that sell for less than half that-the Taylors included-there is a group of Taylors in the Musicians Friend catalog -that custom electric/acoustic with that Koa wood top-2,900.00-BEAUTIFUL guitar-Still;there is something about that D-45 that lights my fire...I have never played one;mind you;but when I heard it on that show I mentioned-the bass,the brightness;the projection-you know what I mean when I say that was "THE SOUND"I WAS LOOKING FOR,and still am looking for-I havent heard another brand that had it...
