I just ordered me a special 4 pin concentric doughnut coil for my Vaquero. I'm a big fan of that coil on my 5 pin

I have a feeling about this coil on the vaquero.Think about it tab?I have not heard from one person using this coil on the vaq?I would like one for the tejon. When you get it hooked up,i know you will have a special hunt planned for that rig. Some deep silver coins maybe? :O

We really like our Tesoro detectors. :)

Have not tried one on the Vaquero, but I bet it will do well. Plus you will have that laser pinpointing!

I have a 7" coil Compadre, and I think my next coil purchase will be a small sniper concentric for my Vaq.
I have become a huge fan of these smaller coils on all my detectors and others I know have too.
Except for large wide open areas these coils have become my weapon of choice.
Have fun and post all of your impressions of the difference between this one and the slightly bigger stock coil, please.

HMmm Tabman only place that I saw a 8 inch donut coil 4 pin for Cibola was a UK site and that was a few minutes ago as a matter of fact. I have not used 9X8 Coil on my Cibola yet do you think there would be much of a difference between the two? VERY INTERESTING!

My special coil will be delivered by Fedex tomorrow:).

I plan on hunting with it Sunday. I'll let you know how it works out.

You're right about that!!!!!! :jump: It's like a whole new different detector with the 8 inch concentric doughnut coil.

The response speed is blazing fast. The tone on my 'low tone' Vaquero seems to be higher and a lot crisper. I love it!

The weight and balance is perfect. Having a super deep detector that's nearly as light as a Compadre is a dream come true

The best thing of all, it's air testing a lot deeper with the 8 inch coil than with the stock coil.

I wished that I had gotten this coil a long time ago. I can't wait for the Sun to come up tomorrow so I can test it in the field.

Happy, Happy, Happy

I knew it would be great.Think about it.The power of the vaquero behind that laser fast coil. It's like you got a ultra deep laser pinpointer there now i bet.I think i am gettin one for the tejon. B-)

Following this with interest... 8" is my favorite coil size for lawns and areas with moderate metal junk.

I have almost always preferred the solid (or mostly solid) coils to the open spoked type designs.

I use the 8" open-center coil in favor of the open spoked 8X9 coils, and really like the 7" solid on he non-HOT models.

On the Lobo SuperTRAQ, back in '99, I switched to the brown 8" donut coil and really liked the Tesoro performance from it with that coil in most uses, and I also tried the Tej

Monte the 8 inch doughnut coil for the Vaquero is the real deal. I bet a solid super 7 would be the cat's meow on the Vaquero.

I heard that people were using the 8 inch doughnut coil on the Lobo SuperTRAQ. I think that I'm the first to order one specifically for a Vaquero.

Someone should try the doughnut coil out on the Tejon. It should be a great match.

I made sure that the one that I ordered had the coil cable shorten to the standard length. I can't stand those long cables. Too much weight and too much wrapping.:)

If Tesoro ever makes a 4 pin super 7 to fit a Vaquero, it would be something like the 5 pin super 7 that comes on the Shadow X2.
