On 9/22, I posted "Clean Sweep Air Distances on my Vaquero"..Hardrock miner made a comment that a standard coil would go deeper.. Which I agree with.. However, the main use of my CS coil are the mighty playing fields of home..where everything should be in the upper 5 inch layer . I used a standard coil, the clean sweep, and a 5.75 concentric to see what/ if I would be giving anything away,or gaining by switching coils... Threshold was maxed, sensitivity was set just below house chatter...I DID NOT "power balance"...Doing that in a house could give mixed results you know!!!!Targets were A. silver dime,,B .Indian cent,C .Buffalo nickel, D .Small gold ring.(do not know if it is the same as used before....All numbers are in the solid hit range, no," Wait!! I tink I kan heer it"?? Coils...Standard A 8.5 to 9.0...B, 9.0...C ,11.0..D.8 to 9.0........Clean Sweep.A 5 to6.0...B ,6.0....C ,7 to 8.0.....D ,7.0.....5.75 Concentric**,,A , 6.0....B ,6.0....C ,7.0.....D , 6.5....* the 5.75 DD that I had would be 1/ 2 to 3/ 4 inches lower on a target than the 5.75 concentric..Looking at the original numbers from 9/ 22 The comparison is close..With the larger footprint of the clean sweep, this is the coil for the fields, to cover the maximum area ,in the shortest time.I realize Monte does not hold the Vaquero in the highest regard.. I really enjoy mine..However, I've had a Silver UMax, ( another on the way), Compadre ,Cibola, 2 Vaqueros, and was totally pleased with each and every one..So wadda ya going to do, When it comes to Tesoro, I'm easy................I hope the numbers posted will give you a little help in your coil selection..Thanks for taking the time to read this...
