Vaquero questions

Hey guys i wanted to know if u can disc up a vaquero and still get solid depth? I'm a coin shooter who usually detects pre-50's schoolyards and parks. My sites are usually quite trashy pull tabs, can slaw,etc.. Would the vaquero work well in these situations with the disc up? I currently use the omega and love it but need something for those sites where emi is an issue as I've heard V's are very good at handling emi. Also would use it in my work truck the omega as much as i love it is not super sturdy. So what do you guys think i want to buy a tesoro for there stellar customer service and warranty but i want something that will work for my situation. Thanks Paul

Hey

Yes you can but I would also get the smaller 5.75 coil to go along with it to get in between the trash.

The V is great for what you want.I have run the disc up and maintained plenty of depth.Very sturdy and light.Do not leave your detector in the truck were it can be seen.Pack it down in a small bag, and put behind the seat.Just don't let it get too hot in the truck in the summer. You can get a small tesoro bag.Or use a compression type bag.I have hunted in the past directly under the high voltage power lines that supplies power to a small city. Were other detectors could never go. :-V

Yes, the Vaquero will go deep even with the disc turned up. It does loose some depth but not a lot. I have done some air test but can't remember exactly how it breaks down. Overall, It may loose 1.5-2 inches at full disc as compared to just above iron. Mine will hit a dime at 9 inches in the air and if I turn up the disc all the way maybe 7.5 inches. Oh yea, that is with my 5.75 concentric coil.
