I noted the manual said the readings may change for the same target at different depths.
Do the readings for a given target also change if you use a different iron mask value?
Do you still get the crosshair in the iron mask mode and also can you use the digital screen in iron mask?
Yes, I am a newbe EXP II owner.
But what I lack in experience I make up for in attitude. I CAN, I DID, I'LL DO IT AGAIN.

The tones don't sound for a rejected target or do you see the crosshairs but the digital reading will still indicate the ferrous and conductive values of a null target.
<span style="background-color:#ffff00;">Do you still get the crosshair in the iron mask mode and also can you use the digital screen in iron mask? </span> Yes and if you use the digital screen you can turn iron maks ON or OFF, If off the digital reading if for the Smartfind screen if ON it is for the Iron Mask screen.
The tone and digital reading can change depending on how deep the target is, if the target is centered or not, so always center the target for best reading. An ultra deep target that is a silver coin as an example will give a very low tone at the fringe of detection instead of a high tone.
