Vdeo review and test on the N.E.L. Tornado on my Fisher F-70

O.K...there should not be any adds linked to my video as I always decline them anyway.

I have not seen anyone post videos actually comparing the coil to targets in ground in a test garden. They are all air tests....and I hate air tests.

I also don't like just videos of guys relic hunting with a coil because rarely do you exactly what depth they target was at. Since everyone digs 12" holes in the field it seems all coins are found at 12" lately.

So when I plant my test gardens I measure accurately with a measure. When Isay they are at 7 1/4" they are EXACTLY at that depth. Targets have been buried for months so these are not fresh plants I did today...besides it is mid winter in Maine and the ground is frozen.

So not here to convince anyone to buy one...that is up to you...I don't realy care obviously.

Now I only have the Fisher 10 concentric eliptical to compare with. if I had the 11" DD I would have used it also. I say in the vid and I will say here my best and honest view is in minerlaized soil like mine I would expect maybe a slight gain in depth...and we are talking 1/2" at best. But a more solid response.

Now in mild soil an extra inch over the 11" DD would be reasonable but not more.

However you get better coverage....and the weight/balance on this coils is great. Nothing like the S.E.F. coils which, to me, are way too heavy.

I to was interested in it.Seems all my detecting these winter days is watching videos LOL ..hh rick in mi....

Thats a great video and should be held in an archive someplace for a lesson on F70 ground balance, set up, and operation...that big coil looks like the ticket for a beach sweeper as well as deep coin hunter. How does it handle on multi coin targets close together? Just like the rest I assume...Thanks for this effort and a learning opportunity!:clapping:

Great target seperation. I used it in a celar hole this weekend where we have been digging a French 1789 2 Sous cache. We found this cache a few months ago and whent back in Saturday with the 70 and the N.E.L.

Dug a few more coins that were too deep the last visit.

Worked great in iron trash. I mean sure you have now a 13" long coil now but target seperation was great. I would not need to swap back to an 11" DD for target seperation that is for sure. If I had to swap I would go down to the eliptical stock coil.

Actually I did bring teh video camera along for this trip. The F-70 is featured quickly in the beginning with the N.E.L......we shot this digging up another 2 Sous. This one was actually down around 9" once I was able to measure it after the video. Not super deep you would think but these are rzor thin coins and hard to detect beyond 8" sometimes.

I'm quite impressed by the depth you are getting. I also like how hard that 13 pings on a target. I've been using the 11"dd from day one, and really like how hard it pings too, and its target seperation, etc. I guess I've set up so soft, that I'm only getting 6" depth in normal conditions, maybe 8 in wet chips or wet sand. I will try your system of ground balance and raising the sens, and going up some on the thresh...I'm sure it will be similar to what you are getting. my settings are nearly always 53 sens, 1disc, -3thresh DE mode DP tones...so I'm only using half the power capabilities the F70 has...for totlottin and shallow finds it works very well for me, but I think I'd like to find a few more silvers this year. Thanks again and good hunting!:clapping:
