what does tin cans show up as... what does silver coins come up....copper coins/random copper all help loved

Tin cans show up in the iron range for me. Aluminum cans come in at about 34 to 36, usually 36. Silver coins 37 or 38. Copper pennies will also show up as 37 most of the time. Haven't dug any random copper objects with my Safari yet. Onus

Copper items are 37 on my machine, silver 37-39 but majority of the time they show 38, some modern pennies like to show 38 too if they are shallow enough. Tin can values can vary depending on the metal composition but I don't think one would normally confuse it with a good coin signal. Tin cans generally are large like aluminum cans and the signal will be spread out over a larger area than one would expect to hear for a coin signal.

Be very carefull walking away from targets that you think are big, deep and trash. This Sterling ring was reading 39 and 40. I thought sure it was a deep can. It was about 7" deep. Pinpointed like it was BIG, and it is. Nothing else was in the hole.

That chart is pretty accurate but I think not all machines are exactly the same. Gold rings on mine comes in at 23. Nickels are a solid 15, and I have never found anything but junk at 40! Onus
