This machine is Electronically and Mechanically sound....it is just out of tune and needs to be sent back to First Texas factory to be re-tuned...
It came back from them in June and was in worse shape than when I sent it in, but I was not about to pay again to ship it off...I am done with Bounty Hunter and now hunt with a White's.
If re-tuned, and used in a location other than our high iron and salt soil here in Central New york, I think it will bring a lot of finds to some lucky owner...
At the moment, she chatters constantly, so I think the SENS and Ground Balance are both off inside the box...If I knew which pot was which, I would adjust it myself, but BH holds their schematics like Fort Knox holds gold...Heck if I were them, I would hide em too, or else everyone would know they use the same boards on a number of different machines and all your paying for when you upgrade are a few extra resistors and capacitors and knobs...
The machine is being sold AS-IS with the 8" and 4" coils for $175 + S/H
pm me if interested...This is as low as I can go folks, so grab it while you can...
3 tone audio, LCD readout of target and depth, manual ground balance in ALL-Metals Mode
DISC, Notch, and Auto Notch modes as well as no motion ALL-Metal Mode...
finds coins up to 10" deep and larger objects to 2 feet.
First Texas replaced the lower rod and clevis, and the battery door cover and cam lock...
