Vibra Probe Vs; Sun Ray Probe on F75 ??

grumpy

New member
I was wondering if anyone has experience with the vibra probe and the Sunray in Line pobe on the F75 machine. I use a vibra probe but am considering switching to the sunray probe. The vibraprobe works very well and is deep reaching for a pinpointer but is awkward at times and interfers with the f75 when it is on. ANY input greatly appreciated especially in the depth of the sunray probe.

Thanks

I had a Vibra probe with my F75 and had interference with i turned it on.
It would buzz my headphones.
Sold it and got a Garrett PP now all is good.

To answer your original question I'd go with a Sun Ray any day before a Vibra Probe and I've had almost every pin pointer made. I can't understand why you get a answer about a Garrett Pro Pointer when that wasn't your question. I've even owned the famous Garrett Pro pointer and although it the best unrestricted pin pointer made I sold it and now solely use the Sun Ray. I like it better because it responds to your find just like your coil does with the same tones, it works and is tuned to your F75 . The Pro Pointer sounds well but in it's own buzz that increases as you get close to the object and the Sun Ray does the same but in the detectors language, high tones for coins and stuff, low tones for iron. I've had great experiences with both but the Sun Ray is way better to me if you want to know what your digging. I've even had times when the coil was fooled by a high tone and it was a iffy target until the Sun Ray sounded out a low tone and behold a nail was the culprit causing the mixed signal and now I trust what the Sun Ray Pin pointer says and it's also more sensitive than the Pro Pointer and is basicly an extension of the F75 coil. Now if I was using the Pro Pointer all I would have heard was the same increasing buzz for all targets and well would have had to dig everything to see what I found.
That being said if I had the choice of three, the Vibra Probe, the Garrett Pro Pointer or the Sun Ray I'd choose the Sun Ray hands down. IMHO, Woodstock

I was just adding a little info
The Vibra had a lot of cross talk . I could have left it at that.
But since the Garrett works fine i put it out there, did not think it was a world stopper. :nopity:

I thank you all for all the info its all useful; Yes the vibra prob does have a lots of chatter with the f75. I had to put a seperate switch on my probe to turn it off so i could continue hunting and have it only work when i needed it. Got tired of waiting til it turned itself off before i could continue hunting.
Thanks again.

you most only use 1 machine

I met you no disrespect on your post answer gmanlight. It just seems that when it comes to pin pointers it seems the Pro Pointer gets tossed in the mix even when the question wasn't about it. So if there was only two choices like the question was posted I'd choose a Sun Ray before ANY Vibra Probe. If you start with all the pin pointers $130 and up the Pro Pointer is the best at the lowest price and a breeze to use I agree. The Sun Ray is way better but costs more. If I had multiple detectors I'd get a Pro Pointer just for them and keep the Sun Ray on my F75. Like I said, I met you no disrespect, I just pointed out what the question was about. With Vibra Probe vs. Sun Ray, the Sun Ray wins hands down.
Happy Trails and Thanksgiving to All ! Woodstock
