Sorry, I don't get what's so funny. If you'll check out some of his finds, I think it will prove listening to what he has to say. Just trying to help here.

Great Video...I will be giving your setup a try as I normally don't hunt in all metal ... thanks HH joe

The guy who produced that video has made some amazing finds at DIV in the hot ground in Culpeper using the all iron mode with the T2. I'm having trouble mastering that mode myself due to all the chatter, but I'll keep trying.

I think what dioramix is getting at is...

Testing a detector over a target that is in an uncovered hole does give you a better idea of what to expect on a buried target than an airtest would... But covering the hole introduces more of the mineralization into the mix and is more accurate. I know in my bad ground if I do a test with an uncovered target in a hole... the id does shift down considerably... but if I cover that hole.. it's an even larger shift downward in the id scale and more depth is lost.

That said.. I use the same settings as in the video. Best way I've found to run the T2 in my nasty ground.

T2 is a power house !

Thanks,
Elton

This is a great video and really informative... and yes, having seen his other videos I know he's someone to listen to! I think I'll upgrade to the T2 next year, and I'll be remembering this!
