I don't think First Texas has an issue with the detectors so much as they have an issue with quality control. How can units get out the door with such a disparity of results? The excuse used to be analog units with a zillion things that need calibration. These things should stamp out identical yet they do not. Are there numerous on the fly software changes occurring? If that is the case, why not wait a bit on the upgrade program at least. There was no rush to market to do that. I don't get it.

Bingo..."....numerous on-the-fly software changes...." this is what it is. Think back to how many versions of the digital Gold Bug came out prior to Gold Bug Pro. Many people paid good money for these trial test-tube models......hope Fisher realizes that we are not Test-subjects......no consumer got paid to test these pre-models.
