DON'T! and I repeat, DON'T BUY metal detectors offered by Kellyco of unknown brands, they are nothing but rubbish, sorry to sound so harsh but I'm really serious, for example, I bought a Predator 2 from them, thinking it was a good machine, well to tell you the truth it broke down and didn't detect, not even a 30"X30" piece of iron, the disc was horrible, the depth awful, etc, etc. Only buy trusted named brands, specially when looking for an underwater detector. Oh, and did I mention Chinese detectors aren't worth the money? This one looks like a lemon (crap), and it might go crazy on wet sand.

If you're looking for a really good underwater detector look at the Tesoro line of detectors, the Sandshark and the Tigershark; The Sandshark is a PI (pulse induction) detector, the Tigershark is a VLF, they both have a LIFETIME warranty (much needed for underwater units). I'm getting a sand shark probably in December, I have read only great reviews on it, it has a lifetime warranty, goes 200 feet underwater, etc. A great buy in my book.

The Cobra/Viper isn't worth it, why risk losing $400 on a new CHINESE underwater detector with a really short warranty? I think it's also only meant for freshwater only.
