Vista Gold ground balance question

When ground balancing the vista gold, the range of ground balance is great. Its quiet at 1 o'clock starting at left side of dial and quiet a 4 oclock from right side. so where is the right ground balance between 1 and 4 o'clock?

Depends upon the soil conditions. Mine is usually set at 1:00 in the red zone.
Ground balance with the knob all the way counterclockwise in the black zone. Bob your coil up and down and move it towards the red zone until you get no audio change or is quiet.
