Vista Gold vs Warrior

Well-known member
For those of you who have run both machines, how much of a difference is there between the two ?......Thanks.....Jim

I am curious about this also Jim. I have used a Vista Gold (and really loved it) and have a Warrior on the way to me. Hopefully Richard & Ziggy will chime in.

Ski.......Let me know what you think about the Warrior after you’ve played with it for a while....... Thanks...Jim

Will do. Have some winter left up here but will certainly take it out in the yard and test it out on some coins, jewelry, etc.

I can run some tests and compare on video next week if you wish ? Better viewing than reading you think ?..... saying that it would initially have to be against the VGG, I forget I've lent my VG to Skint Eastwood in the UK to try and film.

A video would be great, thanks Ziggy.

There will be some difference on the Gold 25 khz and the Warrior. The Warrior will be deeper than the Standard Gold but the Gold will be more sensitive to the higher conductive targets and seperates better than the Warrior in the iron. There is a slight advantage to the Gold on the audio response too. You may find out differently but this is my experience.. Richard

Thanks guys......

Richard,
When you say that the Warrior will be deeper, do you mean deeper on coins or ??????......Is the discrimination different on the Warrior ?

As I said in an earlier thread, l’d sure like to see a wider desrimination range similar to the Tesoro.....Jim

If you want to dissect iron the best sifter is the gain model followed by the standard gold model..

don't let the 30Khz Freq scare you, it more or less just makes the machine more target reactive on everything non ferrous...depth is not and issue on a Deeptech never has been all of them can PUNCH..

Maybe there is something to a name??? hmmmm DeepTech-NOLGY

Keith

Hi Keith,
You make mention in another thread about the audio of the gain model being so “telling “. Is it That much more telling than the older DT Gold ( I have the older model)....I’m wondering whether to get the newest model......I’m wanting to buy the small coil, and since they are different for each machine, I need to make a decision ....Thanks, Jim
