VX3 upgrade

magic

Member
This is from Carl at Whites...

The VX3 has had no software upgrades. The so-called daughterboard is not a daughterboard; it is what we call the "DAQ board" (data acquisition). It is exactly the same DAQ board and exactly the same processor code as used on the V3i, and has not changed since the V3i release, which was well before the VX3 release.

Occasionally we get V's (both V3 and VX) that seem to have stability problems and out of superstitious habit we re-program the DAQ board and sometimes the Pod board. Centerville probably re-programmed the DAQ board and mistakenly called it an "update". It was neither and update nor an upgrade, and will be no different than any other VX3.
