driving me to the nut and poor house with all their rules plus ifs, ands or buts! What a mess the Income Tax Forms have become! I have filled out my own for years and years....but GEE how complicated they are now! Need to have them done and mailed by the 15th.....plus checks with the amount I owe to each on the monies I withdrew from my IRA! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!! :angry! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Yeah I know what you mean. I was trying to do ours the other night and it was so complicated and I was thinking this should be AGAINST the law. Filing the taxes should be as simple as 1 2 3 ..... It's just like everything else in the government it's a racket. After filling mine out totally, I was so unsure of myself, I just bundled them all up and sent them to a tax person.

Praying Ma. I quit trying to figure that tax stuff out. I take it to my accountant and let him sweat the big stuff. I used to do my own taxes for years, but to many new tax laws for me.

Thanks everyone and Mike, me son, I won't get anything back because I didn't pay anything in ahead of time....needed the money to live on and pay bills....but now I will pay more for interest and penalties on the taxes I owe! The most trouble for me is getting everything together so I won't have to pay (used to be Uncle Sam-- now it is Socialist BO) the money he needs to give to someone who won't work or won't save while they do work! :angry: I'm doing Scedule A and am itemizing for it amounts to more deductions than the standard.....so have to find and make copies of my papers for attaching to the 1040 State & Fed Income Taxes Form.....plus making sure what I can deduct and what I can't! Says to do work pages for this and for that to see if I have to add or deduct certain things! EGADS, I'm glad I don't have to fill out all the forms and attachments that are listed on the gov't web sites! Lots and lots of Forms, instructions and Publications! IF you have this go to that, if you have that....go to this and on, on, on and on! :frown: I think it would drive a CPA I don't know about Turbo and they could only do what I have ready for them and getting ready is the biggest job to be right and/or not owe more than a person should! Call the tax people for answers (UH-UH) most of them don't even know what is what and will give you different answers! I only trust God and myself and He is helping me, because being nervous and having headaches I sure need Him now and all the time! Not yet, Liz, I had to go over my Fed Form and Schedule A again and saw where I made some bad mistakes! So taking my time to get it done correctly and then will do the state form! I hope I get it done and in the mail by the 15th! I am so slow and have trouble remembering and where I put anything! For some reason little Fairies or Casper takes my stuff and runs off with it! Just kidding, as it is me, who misplaces things and then have trouble remembering! Oh well, I'm still living so everything is Okay, for I have my Lord and Savior, Jesus, to help me! Amen!
