waiting for a larger coil for the exterra 70

Hi Guys,
Hopefully it will happen down the track that we get a larger coil for the exterra 70. If not i will have to buy another dd coil cut it up and get the chip out of it and get a wot coil made with the chip in it. I then can apply it to my trolley so for grassed areas i can cover an area 100%. I made it for my sovereign and it worked excellent i had to put the coil in a different position when pushing the trolley the piece of plastic rod in my hand is the pinpointer so that when you find a target and put it into pinpoint moving the trolley back and forth and when you are just getting the target push the plastic rod against the trolley and under it and the length of plastic under the trolley is spot on the target. I then push the trolley to the side and recover the target.

G,day Pinpointa. I know your only talking about realistic sizes. I sometimes wonder about really large coils though, like the giant table top types you can get for SD/GPS, and whether they get to a point that it is going backwards. Theres a limit to what a machine can do huh!
I saw three table toppers, around 4 foot long, on SD/GPs get hammered by just the 18" round DD. They actually went 1 foot shallower on a 30oz nugget than the 18" did! About 15 prospectors could be heard roaring with laughter at the poor blokes who forked out a weeks wages on them.
I dont know of 1 person who brought one and found anything with it.
Too much for the machines to drive.
They were a bit like watching a car trying to pull something designed for a truck.

Hi B.T.
Well the idea of the trolley is to be able to cover more area. And you can see where you have been on the grass. I only concertrate on grassed areas and as the coins are on the surface down to 12 inches but mostly from the surface down to 6 inches is the bulk of the coins. And as the wot coil only ads 1 inch to 1 and half it is not depth you are looking for. Beleive me if you have been gridding an area by foowork and go it with the trolley it is amazing how many coins you have missed. Sometimes i will go to the beach and take the wheels off and just skim over the top and after you have done a beach you will clean it out.
