Waiting for the rain.

The ground here in my part of Eastern PA has been bone dry for weeks. The grass is already turning brown. There's not a drop of rain in the 10 day forecast and, if that's not enough, we're just heading into a week-long heat wave.

The best I could do today was watching Gold Fever on the Outdoor channel.

Anyone know the secret to a good rain dance?

Hey Steve,

Why don't you fly over here to the Southern Cal coast. I'm not even sure what Summer is yet. Low -mid 60's, cloudy, drizzly weather. We don't see the Sun til the mid-afternoon. It's been this way for weeks here. Crazy weather.

Hang in there. Looks like the whole East coast is feeling the full effects of Summer now.

Cap'n, It's only 3000 miles, do you think I'll be back home in time for lunch?

TBM, I guess misery really does love company.

The few times I have gone out I've noticed that the depth meter is way off. (showing greater depths than actual) Is this because of the dry conditions or just an SE thing? It doesn't bother me, I just dig till I hit the Comstock lode then move on.
