Walmart selling Tesoro's ???

I have read a few posts on another forum about Tesoro detectors being sold at Walmart, news to me but you never know. Whatever is best for Tesoro is fine with me, just hope that if it is true that it doesn't put any good dealers out of business. I deleted the link as it didn't seem to work now. Guess the link is working http://www.walmart.com/ip/Tesoro-Silver-uMax-Metal-Detector/17442554 my internet connection was down.

Not really sold by Walmart, but by an affiliate that has a pretty low rating.

Other dealers are selling the Tesoro Compadre much cheaper. Maybe other models too.

Be sure to check around for lowest price before you buy, of course. ;)

Its the fine print corp return policy that ruins most american mfgs that attempt to sell through big box...usually its stipulated that on any return, the mfg is responsible for 2X the item value. Just think of every customer that impulse buys one, trys it out for the weekend, and takes it back, that goes for fishing poles, aluminum baseball bats, and everything else...why a plucky and industrious lad could go deep sea fishing with some great gear he bought on friday, and get his full money back on monday if he wishes....the mfg has to destroy what is most likely a perfect unit, and pony up 2X what they sold it to the retailer for! They contractually cant sell it, refab, or anything...gotta be scrapped...I know, I've had a couple of great american mfgs customers go bankrupt because of this policy...selling anything through these big guys is exactly like playing with a rattlesnake, sure its exciting and fun, but you better know what you are doing, or you'll get bit bad!

WE DO NOT SELL TO WALMART. It might be possible that they are making a joke!

Plumstruck only has a 73% happiness rating from customers. I am sort of surprised that Walmart hasn't already lowered the boom on them.

Thanks for the post Robert, wasn't trying to spread rumors I was just curious. Don't know why Walmart and or PlumStruck would joke about such a thing, but as my grandma used to say nothing surprises me anymore.

 Yes, Thanks AllCav !!! I never liked the idea of mass marketed metal detectors. It gets them into the hands of inexperienced and irresponsible people who leave holes and go tresspassing.

I know if Mr.Gifford found out.He would bless those boys out.Heck, they just started selling to kellyco only a year ago. This is tricky with Tesoro. The company was founded on a strict policy on who sells Tesoro detectors. The dealer has to know the subject for one.Just ask yourself why you get no free stuff with the purchase of a Tesoro. No funny business out of no one buying or selling.:O

So Walmart is not selling Tesoro's, I take it the same goes for PlumStruct

Screw Walmart...... If they sold the whole Tesoro line for 20% less than everyone else, I still wouldn't buy one from them. The small dealer with customer service who knows the product he sells will get my dollar EVERY time. And...... if Walmart ever sold a Tesoro, it would be the only made in america product in their whole dam store! Screw China and screw Walmart!! We could change this country if we all quit buying China crap, unfortunately we would have to do without a lot of stuff, and I mean a lot of stuff.....

Hey, I work there and I agree. The forum sponsors I've used are the best, anyway.
