The build quality right down to the tiniest detail is supurb...!!!!!....the coil is a tough as nails work of electronic art. The shaft and handle have secound to NONE ergonomics and the telescopic feature is perfect for a backpack. I purchased one at wal#@%% for just a few bucks. My entire detector bug spray knee pads sunscreen maps ect. also fit inside. The hand held unit feels very touggh. The headset like the rest of this unit is comfortable and designed for years and years of service. I was worried about wheather or not it would swing through the taller grass. No problem. The coil has sufficent weight to get the job done with ease. The rods are super tough and take the pressure in stride. Hopeing to get the larger coil soon for covering large feilds i swing over here in Alabama. I would not for a moment hesitate to buy another if mine were stolen...... thanks for listning....jeremi.....please poast if u agree or disagree and why.

[Hmmm....if yours were stolen..huh? Where exactly do you live?]

Seriously ... I've got mine already ... and not exactly stolen but did get quite a huge discount for being among the first few in the U.S. to try it.

My learning curve was probably a bit steeper than most seasoned detectorists and after 15 months I am getting it...more and more each hunt.

What you have with the Deus is essentially ... at least a half dozen vastly different detectors. AND each detector is upgradeable by varying parameters.

What has helped me in my learning is to stick with one frequency for at least a whole month. I like...really like the 18K for coins and small jewelery. Previously I liked a lot the 4K in the trashy parks. Soon, very soon I will be able to use different frequencies on the same hunt.

I LOVE my Deus!
