I want an Explorer 2 or a GTI 2500. How do I do it? I am in a wheelchair, can't work (only have one hand to use and most jobs I could do I can't because my speach is hard to understand). Well I could beg somebody to give me one, other people do it. I can't bring myself to do it no way. I couldn't live with myself. I have entered a bunch of raffles trying to win one but my luck was all used up years ago. I just can't win.

I can make small payments like $40.00 a month from my SSI disability check. Would someone sell me one onpayments?

I an not out to screw anybody, scam a free detector or rip anybody off. I have been in this dam chair sitting in my room. I don't even get to see much of anybody. I see somebody for about 10 minutes of the day. The rest of the day is me, my computer and 3 ferrets. I want to get out and do something. Thanks!

Mike

Hi LOWRIDER, after learning that you have ace 250, i decided to withdraw my offer of 1266xb, I may be wrong but i feel you may be taking advantage of your situation. GOOD LUCK, BASSMAN

for one thing. Secondly, there are a lot lighter units out there to use. If not mistaken, you already have an Ace 250, which is very capable and light weight.

If you have a credit card, most dealers will hook you right up and if you just pay your monthly payment, it probably wouldn't amount to $40.00 a month.

But from what I have heard of your physical condition, metal detecting might not be the best hobby for you. Have you considered Ship modeling, theres no physical constraints and you can usually sell them on ebay and various outlets.

I have a credit rating of ZERO, nobody will give me a credit card. When my first strokes happened I owed money like everybody else. I had AAA credit rating. Couldn't work (I was a computer saleman, computer repair, computer programmer), no money at all coming in for over three years. If my mom had not let me stay there I would of had to live on the street. At least I could still do her books.

The Ace I have isn't cutting it. I have only found 1 penny and a buried cable with it and a few holes that it said there is coin there but I can't find it, in three hours of detecting. I need something with auto ground balance and all the bells and whisles. This will be the last machine I buy in my life. I am used to high end since I bought a whites spectrum eagle.

There Is no way to do ship building or any building. That would required 2 hands. I only have one and I have neuropothy. I have no feelings in my leges and my hand has lots of the feeling it it, anything small all I do is drop it and get mad. I was right handed and now I only have my left hand. I can't even pound a nail or screw a screw. I've tried. I drop the screw or nail dozens times and still can't do it. If I had lost my left side instead of my right I could still do things like fix my computer or make things.

I love and enjoy detecting, that's all I did besides my computer. If I keep my chair on fairly level ground it works fairly well, I know it limits me. I just need to figure out how to carry everything, but I have an idea for that.

I am not asking anybody to give me a detector just sell me one. I just can't pay for it all at once. A guy wants proof of disability, I can't give him anything. I don't have a piece of paper that says I am disabled. A picture or doctors note could be faked.

I just knew I shouldn't of asked. Lots of time I don't know why I bother living. Nothing goes right for me.

Mike

unfortunately the two main hooks that con artist use are GREED & Sympathy. I'm not implying or stating that you are anything other then what you say you are. BUT, there are a lot of us that want a Explorer or GTi2500, I for one would love to have one, but can't afford it either. So I have to settle for a lessor detector as well.

If I had either one of these machines, I wouldn't give it to you, but I would sell it to you on a Lay away plan, which means you get the detector once you have paid for it. But I don't. We all have our burdons to carry. I have a heart condition and am on early retirement because of it.

Good luck,
Mike

These high end detectors are harder to learn and use and for as heavy as they are it dont sound like you could even use one with the weight they are. If you can only use one hand I feel these may be impossible for you to use.
If you love this hobby you will want a detector you can handle and the Ace 250 will keep you more satified and get you out for the excercise and fresh air you need. If you find that you can figure out how to use the 250 to your advantage being you are in a wheel chair you could have a lot of fun with this detector while saving up for a more comlicated and heavy detector. If you cant enjoy the 250 you sure wont enjoy the Explorer or GTI 2500.

forget I said anything. I just wanted to buy a detectr. Iwill be a good boy. Just here and not say anything and die. good bye

Let us know where we need to send the flowers.

These people are willing to jump through hoops for you and one guy simply asked for the seemingly simple task of showing proof of your disability which you completely dismissed.

I assume you have to prove to the Government of your handicap in some way to collect your disability checks, so why is it such a big deal to do the same for someone who is going to help you out as best he can? Since you are unwilling to cooperate even in the slightest, we are forced to assume you are a scammer.

If you are legit and in so much depression, then please try and find some help and clear the fog out. We all have issues. Unfortunately, I suffer from a pretty sever case of Tourette Syndrome, and people think I'm a freak where ever I go, but somehow I manage to survive on a daily basis. So spare us your sob story and stop feeling sorry for yourself and try and be productive with your life.

BTW, since when do you have to have the ability of two hands to be a computer programmer? In this day and age of political correctness run amuck, your application I'm sure will be on the top of any employer's list of people to hire.

USE IT TO YOUR ADVANTAGE

Not only did you have people on this forum...but people on the "other" forum willing to help out...myself included...providing you offered up some sort of proof of your condition. I don't think that was too much to ask...I mean, you certainly didn't think asking for an Explorer II or GTI 2500 was too much to ask now did you?

There are tons of crooks out there...and people were trying to avoid being ripped off. You can't blame them for that at all. You should be thanking these people for offering their help...not giving them a sob poor me story, trying to fill people with guilt.

Your responses are ridiculous...

and I think your expectations are as well

Well fellow I tell you right up front your a fake..you being on ssi every year you get an award letter stating what your increase would be according to the cost of living index..where is it??? who did the digging for you when you found the penny???what your not realizing is that 2/3 of the folks that hunt are disable in some way, they are not complaining...you want to talk about neropathy I have it in both legs and feet I sure as the hell am not complaining about it or the stroke I had or the damn diabetes I got...YOUR A FAKE AND A POOR FAKE AT THAT..THE ONLY THING I WOULD GIVE IS A BULLET.....

Lowrider,

I'll send you either a GTI 2500 OR an Explorer XS AFTER you have sent me $40 per month for 20 months. That's right - your choice. But now it's up to you to show how trusting you are. I'll even send you the detector after 19 months - I'll trust you to pay it out the following month. Sound fair?

IMO that's more than a fair offer. The guy's had more than one as anyone can see.

His response however has been to post the same message in every forum today - which I suspect is a last ditch effort to "phish" for a sucker.

That's good to know. I just got a private message from him saying he was ready to make the deal. And when I have $760, he'll have a Garrett GTI 2500. I'll let everyone know how the deal goes ... it'll be a relief to find that he's not a scammer.

As a group, I've found people in this hobby to be "the salt of the earth" - friendly, generous and genuinely caring. Maybe 'lowrider' actually falls into this group. We'll know if the deal goes through. Otherwise we can knowledgably label him a scammer and move on.

We'll see.
