General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

Warning about detecting in Colchester, England

There is a individual running detecting tours out of Colchester, England who targets American's & Canadians who has a very impressive website. Before you part with your hard earned cash you might want to contact either me or the Colchester Detecting club. This club has about 150 members and it appears that the distaste for the man in question is pervasive with all 150 members of this club. You may very well be surprised about what you find out.

I consider this post a malicious and cowardly drive by.

I suspect there is only 1 detecting tour operator that operates out of Colchester. If I belonged to a club 150 members strong, I would think that 1 of the members would be a lawyer or have a lawyer in the family. With proof, it should be easy to but this tour operator out of business. Instead you make a post that would lead a person to believe this tour operator is doing something illegal. Be careful what you say, especially with no proof, or the tour operator may be spending your money.

If there is only 1 tour operator in Colchester, I have paid my money to detect on his tour. I stayed in his house, ate at his table and talked to him for hours. I had a great time, made a new friend and made some very good finds. The previous year I detected with the
