Warthog and I got some detecting in this morning..

Pete in MI

New member
He found a worn Buffalo Nickel (we think it says 20 as in 1920 on it). The Buffalo looks better than the Indian. He also got a Wheat penny. Forgot what year it was.

I was able to find a lot of trash and several Wheats and a '65 Rosie dime. Amazing the number of bottle caps in this field....and inside the cap it is imprinted with "Don't Litter" or something very similar. Guess people don't read the inside the bottle caps...just drink whatever is in the bottle.

Had a good time and nice seeing Steve again...and Steve got a chance to see Casey and her baby, Leelan Charles.

Good detecting with ya again buddy. Hope we can do it again soon.

I am glad you guys were able to go detecting! Sounds like you had a great time. Who did the gooochy goo with the baby first ?

He did hahaha. Actually I have not held the baby yet. I have had a cold (cough) and don't want to subject him to it any more than necessary.

...had a good time,a bit chilly,though....my father in law asked me if I was going water detecting-There was still ICE floatin around on Houghtom Lake-I told him NO WAY,BABY-TOO COLD yet!!:surprised:

So glad Pete that you and Steve were able to hunt together and congrats to you both on the fun and the finds! And have Casey or Sherry give Leelan Charles a great big kiss for me and some goochy, goos goos, too! :) God Bless! Betty
