wash out on screen

hello has any one else had this problem with the expl minelab screen . i have a wash out on the screen about 2/3 of the way down. this is not good! any one know if it can be fixed and about how much? i was in the woods today beeping and when i came out this is how it looked. i don't recall hitting any or dropping the machine . thanks for any help clarence

You will probably need a new LCD. Not sure how much, but a call to Minelab should be able to give you an idea.
