OK, I have been getting a little jealous with John-Edmonton's Garrett GTI-2500. So I splurged and bought a GTI-2500 with the standard coil, the 4 1/2 sniper coil and the New Garrett's pinpointer.
This weekend I spent about 3 hours search an area I worked last year with my Ace 250. I found $4.42 and a small diamond earing.
I got to admit, the GTI 2500 is very nice! I haven't found the weight to be a problem even though I have rotator cuff problems and some arthritis. I can say I dig a lot less trash with this detector. And the learning curve isn't too much for anyone experience with an ACE 250. And the Garrett's pinpoint is great, I get at least 3 inches of detections with this unit, and it seems to be built like a battle ship.
