i hit a lake today with my trusty old ace 250 as my whites BHID sucked some water a couple months back & hasn't been the same since. the ace pulled out a nice big gold cross & two gold earrings also found 4 silvers 2 earrings 1 cross & 1 pendent with pink CZs.

How did the BHID take in water? Nice cross by the way.

Yes, I would like to know how the bhid got water in it. Maybe you will be able to help others from coming to the same fate. Was it human error or mechanical?

it"s an old one with the black seal they are notorious for leaking. i think it leaked through the toggle switch seal so it wasn't monkey error :) lucky it leaked in fresh water i was able to pull it apart & dry it out. it still works just not as well as before

That's a shame. Looks like you'll have to get a new one. So from what you are saying the older ones had a seal problem? I assume the newer ones have this reinforced?
