That's right! :) On Sunday we took my son to visit a friend about 60 miles from home, So my wife, two daughters, and I went to a big state park. We first had a picnic, then the girls and I hit the water. It was chilly when you first stepped in, but soon got used to it. The water temps are in the 70's. and we have had a few days of record high temps for October. Here are the girls and I after we got in the water. I only hunted for 1 1/2 hours and got 5 coins and a kids toe ring. But we had a wonderful day! :)

So I figured if the water was that nice and the weather is going to get cold and yucky in a couple days I might as well do an early morning water hunt today!
Well no one had hunted this spot lately because there were some goodies for the pouch today! :) I finished hunting the deeper water at chest level and decided to wander over to the old area, where I get an occasional wheatie. Not much there so I decided I would quit soon. Something inside said you could do one more deeper pass at shoulder level! So I went out deeper and soon got a good tone! First scoop a nice 14k wedding band! :) WOOOHOOO!!!!
I then got another tone right in the same place, next scoop a nice big class ring! Double WOOOOO HOOOO!!!!!! :) :) I then realized I had been hunting in a depression about 3 foot in diameter. I figure that someone either had them in their pocket and lost them both and tried digging around for a while to find them, or some one lost one and got some help trying to find it and someone else lost the next one? Either way it should be an easy return of the class ring, and if they metion a wedding band I will know they lost that one too! :) I also got a nice ear ring (maybe gold) and some other doo-dads!

Lastly before I left I hit a small playground by the lake. It had those ground up tires in it. look at all the brass pieces I found! They all sounded like gold. I think they are ground up valve stems!

Great finds Mike! I thing those are valve stems too. I get them in the rubber playgrounds around here too.

I haven't had time to get out lately...well the last few days anyway. Drove to Bay City to see my grand son and grand daughter...long - hot drive!

Congrats on the finds Mike
