water proof coil really?

Are the coils for the Safari really waterproof? I'm just a little afraid to get the coil wet.

Yes the coil ONLY is water proof not the Safari control box I've had mine in water many times

WARNING: If you put it under water do not raise the metal detector up in the air too high as the water can run down inside the shaft & could get in the control box
